We will be performing an important maintenance on the server racks located at our Firstcolo facility. This work is required to resolve an issue with the UPS system.

As part of this maintenance, a portion of the power subdistribution will be temporarily shut down and migrated to a different low-voltage main distribution. While this change was originally planned as part of a broader infrastructure modernization, it must now be carried out sooner due to an urgent issue.

**Who is affected?**  
This maintenance only affects customers using the following services:

* FRA-CLOUD3
* FRA-CLOUD2
* FRA-CLOUD1
* EU-GAME3
* EU-GAME2
* EU-GAME1

**Dedicated server customers:**  
You can verify whether your server is affected by checking the panel at:  
&lt;https://firstcolo.nolimithost.cc/&gt;

If your server includes the **“-UV-P”** tag, it is affected by this maintenance.  
If the tag is not present, your server will **not** be impacted.

Additionally, customers with dedicated servers that have redundant power supplies are **not affected**, in accordance with our infrastructure setup and service agreement.

Please note that the announced maintenance window is an estimate. The duration may vary, as the work depends partially on external electrical contractors. We have, however, narrowed the timeframe as precisely as possible and will keep you informed of any updates.

This significantly improves routing efficiency, latency, and overall resilience against attacks.

We would like to address the recent concerns regarding network instability in our USA (Chicago) location. Our Chicago datacenter has been experiencing extremely large-scale DDoS attacks reaching multiple terabits per second. Despite having on-premise DDoS protection with redundant mitigation layers, the volume of these attacks has temporarily exceeded our current filtering capacity.

We are actively working with our upstream providers to increase and optimize the protection capacity in the Chicago region. For instance, NeoProtect is currently in the process of expanding its Chicago filtering infrastructure to handle these massive attacks more effectively. It’s important to note that these large-scale attacks are affecting several major DDoS protection providers globally not just us.

The incident was related to major Multi-terabit attacks targeting 15+ /24 ranges simultaneously with attack sources across the globe; the attack in itself being of sophisticated nature.  
  
At this time, we don&#039;t expect further incidents occurring however are working on further optimizations to fully rule out impact on such occurrances going forward.  
  
We have both responded to live occurrances with immediate update responses along with testing such in a development environment by simulating the attacks at hand and verifying correct responses by failsafe systems.  
  
We understand the severity and urgency of such incidents and the importance of them being resolved entirely going forward.  
In response, we have ordered an additional near 2 Tbit/s of Upstream capacity with CDN77 on an emergency basis for primary points of impact. The majority in EU/US but as well upgrades in SGP.  
The ETA given by our upstream for the deployment of such upgrades is 1-4 days globally.  
  
The team is preparing for emergency maintenances and is ensuring pre-emptively that a smooth overall maintenance operation can be guaranteed.  
Maintenance windows will be announced 24 hours beforehand and are, as timing allows, done at best possible times in terms of low traffic and technician availability in each respective location.  
Support staff will be available throughout such maintenance windows along with immediate and prepared escalation processes.  
We will reach out to customers without backup tunnels or alternative redundancy who would be affected by this maintenance accordingly.
